What You Go Through Makes You

I was talking to a good friend of mine recently and we were discussing how a person grows and is developed. Now last week we focused on excellence and how it wasn’t an event, but more of a lifestyle and regimented focus. Now another aspect of moving into higher levels of existence is how you handle the ups and downs of life. Some of the most influential people around have overcome many challenges; and their challenges may not differ much from what each of you have gone through. However, like my friend Mark Lewis said last week, “what you go through makes you and if you haven’t gone through much you may not be made of much.” The point is,  embedded in all of your challenges as you march towards excellence are lessons. Don’t look at the struggle as a bad thing, look at it as a divinely positioned lesson along your personal development path. I bet if you reflect, you will quickly realize that some of the things that you are strongest at now were forged through the fires of a adversity. So don’t run from the challenge, embrace each element of it with the assurance that this is just another element of advancement down your path to greatness. So this week if something does not go your way, just focus on what the lesson may be in it and turn the challenge into a teachable moment. Stay positive, stay energetic, and stay hungry as you step into your destiny!
